Web App
Learn when and how to use the Web App.
Prerequisites
- SplitSecure mobile app installed on your iOS or Android device
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge)
What is the Web App?
The Web App is a browser-based interface for SplitSecure. It works in conjunction with your mobile app to provide a full-screen interface for configuration and resource access.
Key Points:
- Access it at
app.us.splitsecure.com - Requires pairing with your mobile app (covered in the next guide)
- Used for configuration and resource access
- All cryptographic operations still happen on your mobile device
When You Need the Web App
Initiating Proposals
Use the Web App to initiate operations that require approval set approval:

| Create Approval Sets | Set up new approval sets with founding members |
| Invite Members | Add new members to existing approval sets |
| Revoke Members | Remove access from approval set members |
| Create Identity Providers | Set up SAML2 IdPs for SSO |
| Configure Accounts | Set up service provider accounts (AWS, GCP, etc.) |
Other Tasks
The Web App is also required for:

| Access Protected Resources | Use credentials from configured accounts (AWS, GCP, etc.) |
| View Audit Logs | Review approval set activity and proposals |
When You Don’t Need It
You can do the following with just the mobile app:
- Vote on proposals: Approve or reject any operation, including authentication requests
- Join approval sets: Scan QR codes to join approval set formation or invitations
- View notifications: See pending requests and updates
Accessing the Web App
Open in Your Browser
- Open your web browser
- Navigate to
app.us.splitsecure.com
First-Time Setup
If this is your first time using the Web App:
- You’ll be directed to the pairing page
- A QR code will be displayed on screen
- You’ll need to scan this with your mobile app to establish trust
